FAQ
-
What do I need to bring to my workshop?Just bring youself! We provide all the materials you need for the workshop you have chosen. And while we do provide aprons for all workshops, if you are attending a workshop that involves paint please consider that when deciding what to wear.
-
Will I take home my project that day?Yes. We will pack up your project for you so you can take it home that day.
-
How strong are the paint smells? While we use low and no odor paints and stains, there can always be a smell. Even the wood for the sing itself can sometimes have a smell. If you are extremely sensitive to smells, these projects may not be as enjoyable for you.
-
Are there risks in perticipating in any workshop?Drills, hammers, nails, sand paper, paint and stains are used during a workshop, so we do need to be careful. If you have a breathing condition or any other condition that may be of concern, let us know and we can tell you if that specific workshop is right for you. We also recommend you wear clothing that you are OK with getting a blemish or two. This is not the place for expensive jeans or super expensive shoes. Stain, paint, saw dust and wax are always being passed around in a workshop environment, so choose wisely in your clothing selection!!
-
Do you have to register for a workshop or can I just walk in?All scheduled workshops require you to pre-register. This gives us time to prepare personalized items for that project. Project selection and customization information will be part of that registration. Please be sure to double-check your spelling and information to ensure your project stencil and materials will be ready for you at the start of the workshop. Having said all that, we do offer some days of "open class" time. Any days/hours that show this will allow you to come in a choose for a selection of ready to go projects.
